What is ELLANSÉ™ made of?
ELLANSÉ™ is a synthetic dermal filler composed of totally smooth polycaprolactone (PCL) microspheres suspended in a water-based carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) gel-carrier. ELLANSÉ™ is a safe and clinically proven treatment.
PCL is a well-known and approved soft medical material. It has an excellent safety profile and has been used in bioresorbable sutures and orthopedic implants for several decades worldwide. PCL is also used in numerous other European (CE-certified) and US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved commercial bioresorbable medical devices.
CMC has an excellent safety profile and has been used in dermal fillers, oral and maxillo-facial surgery for several decades worldwide. CMC is also used in numerous European (CE-certified) and US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved commercial bioresorbable products in medical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.
PCL and CMC are materials which are completely eliminated from the body after the desired performance duration (Total Bioresorbability).
