IV Therapy, or Intravenous Nutrient Therapy, is the use of fluids packed with vitamins and amino acids administered directly into your body through a cannula. More effective than oral supplements, this introduces these essential nutrients straight into your bloodstream. Our medical practitioner will help you choose the perfect IV Cocktail/Shot to suit you.

As with all treatments at Skinfinity, you will only ever be seen by our highly trained, experienced medical team. We offer IV Therapy treatments in our Leeds clinic only.
Treatment procedure for IV Therapy
A full consultation with our medical practitioner will be given prior to your treatment. This will include a consultation form and your blood pressure taken prior to the procedure. Your medical history will also be taken during this consultation to ensure your suitability for this treatment.
Once we know you are suitable then we can choose which vitamin IV drip/shot you desire explaining what vitamins/amino acids it is packed with and its effects.
The procedure
A small butterfly needle will be inserted by our medical practitioner safely in our CQC registered clinic. During your IV we will continue to check your blood pressure and ensure your comfortable. Once your IV has finished we will take your blood pressure and get you a hot/cold beverage. You will need to stay in clinic for at least 30mins post your IV to ensure your optimum safety.
How long does it take?
The procedure approximately takes 30mins, however you will need to be in clinic 45-60mins to ensure pre and post IV care is given.
Does it really work?
Athletes have being taking these vitamins and amino acids for decades to aid their performance. These can really help you feel energised, increasing your metabolism giving you that extra boost you feel you need.

How long will it take to feel a difference?
Each IV Drip/Shot has a different protocol. You may need a loading dose (for example one IV Shot per week for 2 weeks then one shot monthly for maintenance) it all depends on how you individually feel. Our medical practitioner will be on hand to help you choose the best treatment for you.
Is IV therapy safe?
Yes it is completely safe, each treatment is made up of vitamins and amino acids.

Are there any risks or side effects?
Side effects can occur, they do in most treatments. Some may include possible bruising to the needle site, cold sensation to the arm during the infusion, sickness (please ensure you eat prior to IVNT).
Other uncommon side effects can include anaphylaxis or overload of vitamins but this risk is minimal. At Skinfinity only registered medical practitioners will be completing this procedure.
